中国服饰的历史源远流长，从原始社会、夏商周、春秋战国、秦汉、魏晋南北朝、隋唐、宋辽夏金元、明、清，到近现代，都以鲜明特色为世界所瞩目，主要以汉服为主，另外还有胡服、旗装等。随着社会的不断发展和纺织业的进步，每个朝代的服饰也在不断变化着。

影片讲述产科护士李天爱值班时遇到产妇李春风生下儿子栋栋后暴病身亡，李春风的丈夫姚光也锒铛入狱致使孩子栋栋无人抚养。天爱因抚养栋栋，和姚光以及栋栋之间发生的一系列感人肺腑催人泪下的故事。
